The Hill

Out of the ground, a pile of dirt sticks out. Despite its smaller figure, it stands up and acts tall, like a baby mountain taking its first steps. It has an uneven bed of undergrowth coating its surface. It rises alone, with just plains surrounding it for miles. Heaped piles of sediment grow over its body. Its landscape is scoured, with irregular scars marking out its surface, for humans to walk on. Surrounding these marks are unruly growth, coarsely sprouted over its faces. It sits peacefully by itself, waiting for something to happen.
